My name’s Claire and I live by the philosophy that smiles make the world go round! I try my hardest to always see the good in everything and to go through life smiling, with the hope that it will encourage others to smile as well.
I am currently carrying out this philosophy at Central Michigan University, where I am a studying as a full time student, planning to pursue a career in Entrepreneurship with a focus on Not-for-Profits and a double-minor in Leadership and Spanish. I really enjoy reading and crafting or crocheting in my spare time. I also love to bike ride, garden, and go on adventures!
One of my biggest passions in life though is helping the people around me in any way I can, I love to feel as though I’ve been able to make a positive contribution to someone’s day. This is what drives me to volunteer so often and with so many different organizations, including Relay for Life, Children’s Trust Fund of Michigan,Salvation Army clothing drive, Kids Against Hunger, Halloween Hollow, and so much more. This is also the reason for many of my future plans, which at the time are to work for a minimum of two years with the Peace Corp as well as a minimum of two years in Americorp. I also plan to work for or begin my own Non-Profit organization that will better the lives of the people around me!
I love to travel anywhere I can! I believe firmly that the best way to live is curiously and that you should let your curiosity take you down new paths! Always take the chance to try new things when the opportunity arises, you can hardly regret a new experience because it will either introduce you to something positive or give you the blessing of a lesson learned and either option is ultimately going to help you live life to the fullest! For me, travel is one of the greatest ways to create new experiences and meet new people, it doesn’t have to be far and it doesn’t have to be a long drawn out trip, as long as you go with an open mind and open heart. I simply love the fresh energy I get from exploring the world around me and letting my curiosity guide me in adventures!
