Deed #9: Leave Your Change Behind

The other night I went down to the lobby of my building to purchase a candy bar from the vending machine. I ended up getting quite a bit of change back, but instead of pocketing it and returning to my room, I wanted to leave it behind so the next person could upgrade their snack choice. I didn’t think it a good idea to leave the money in the little change return slot on the machine and luckily after looking around for a short time I was able to find a suitable jar at the front desk. However this was not just any old jar, this was a donation receptacle for Relay for Life money. I promptly left my spare change behind in the Relay container, so now instead of upgrading the snack choices available to a resident, my money can go towards enhancing the everyday life of a cancer patient!
